Day: 1. Ulaanbaatar city
Arrival at Ulaanbaatar city. Our team will pick you from the airport and transfer to the hotel. After refreshment at the hotel, we start our city tour which includes Chinggis square, Gandan monastery, Zaisan hill and welcome dinner at Mongolian restaurant.
Day: 2. Baga Gazriin Chuluu
Granite Rocky formation in the empty steppe makes ‘Baga gazriin chuluu’ more stunning. Here, we will do a short visit to see rock inscriptions created in the 19th century by two highly respected Buddhist lamas.
Day: 3. Tsagaan Suvarga , Bayanzag
Start road trip from capital city to South Gobi, which is approximately 470 km drive. We will reach our second stop at ‘Tsagaan suvarga’. This cliff is over 50m high and almost 400m long. We will continue to drive to ‘Bayanzag’, a small saxaul forest where the American Paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrew discovered dinosaur fossils. Overstay in the Bayanzag area.
Day: 4. Khongor Els
After breakfast, we drive about 150 km to ‘Khongor els’ sand dunes, which is the biggest sand dune in South Gobi. Stretches 100km long and 10km width.
Day: 5. Yol Valley
Yol valley is located in ‘Gobi Gurvan Saikhan’ National Park. We will have a pleasant hike into a narrow iced canyon even in hot Gobi summer. If we are lucky enough, we can see rare wild animals, such as foxes, ibex, wild sheep, gazelle and some rodents.
Day: 6. Ulaanbaatar city
Fly back to UB. Visit souvenir and art shops, and stop by at Mongolian cashmere store in the afternoon. See Mongolian traditional dance and music concert. Farewell dinner and drinks in the evening.
